Job Description:
Job Description Hybrid: Because this role involves a combination
of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the
form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working
onsite and remotely.In accordance with approved policies and
procedures, procure materials, equipment, supplies and services
based on program-specific requirements and specifications. Develops
requests for quotations (RFQs) in accordance with specifications,
requirements, work statements and terms and conditions. Lead
procurement activities for assigned commodities required for
material, software, and services in support of production programs,
construction/facilities, and indirect spend. Will support and
execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend,
demand and supply challenges and marketplace conditions. Reviews
price proposals, develops evaluation criteria, selects or
recommends sources of supply, creates electronic purchase orders
(ePO) files for review, prepares PO awards and issues resulting
purchase order agreements to suppliers. Utilizes various approved
techniques to conduct price analyses in order to establish
reasonableness of pricing proposed by suppliers. Negotiates
additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders.
Expedites late deliveries based on supplier's original promise
dates. Resolves invoicing issues. Manages relationships with
assigned suppliers. Assists the Manager of Supplier Partnerships
with special projects. Responsible for complying with company
purchasing policies and procedures. A successful candidate must be
a team player who will be able to communicate effectively with
internal and external stakeholders, build mutually beneficial
relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement
compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support Zero
Defect initiatives with suppliers. Additionally, will develop
solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and
complexity.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Familiarity with the basic concepts of supply chain
management
- Some experience in Purchasing, Subcontracts or related
procurement activity
- Some knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR and EAR regulations
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational skills (folder document management via
File Explorer)
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- U.S. CitizenshipPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- AA degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience
- BA/BS degree with 0-1 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations and
the understanding of the role of Procurement and Operations
Management
- Understanding of ERP systems (prefer Oracle)
- Use of data analytics tools (prefer Tableau)
- Understanding of electronic PO filing system
- Technical Background (Ability to understand parts lists,
Bills-of-Materials, drawings and blueprints)
- Experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain,
procurementPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $53680 -
$91300Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
